Nintendo Gameboy Advance

ZooCube is a perfect game to play on the move on the GBA in short bursts, particularly given its arcade style feel

It is well suited to the Gameboy Advance, though it was a real challenge to implement on this system given its technical constraints.

It was impossible to develop it in full 3D as the GBA had no native support for it.  Instead this meant that pre-rendered sprites had to be used - several thousand small frames to cover all possible rotations of all the sprites across all three dimensions.  Each sprite was limited to 16 colours, which explains whey there are no animal shapes in this version. It still looks great on this system, even better with a back-lit screen!
